Marcus Kindervater
Biography
Marcus enjoys guiding people through complex financial decisions by helping them understand where they stand, what choices matter most, and how to move forward with confidence. Marcus believes most people aren’t lacking effort—they’re lacking a clear, connected strategy.
Marcus is especially drawn to working with individuals approaching or entering retirement, typically between ages 55 and 70. Decisions made during this stage often carry permanent consequences, and he helps clients think through retirement income, tax strategy, Social Security timing, market risk, healthcare and Medicare planning, and long-term sustainability. Many of his clients have saved well but want confidence that their plan has been thoroughly stress-tested and built to last.
He approaches planning with a disciplined, long-term mindset. Outside of work, Marcus spends much of his time with his dog, Apollo—training, working outdoors, and building consistency through daily effort. He sees strong parallels between that process and financial planning: small, thoughtful decisions made consistently over time can lead to meaningful results.
Marcus takes his work personally. He is actively involved in helping care for his grandparents and sees firsthand how financial decisions affect real families and quality of life. That perspective reinforces his belief that planning isn’t just about numbers—it’s about responsibility, follow-through, and protecting the people who matter most.
When he’s not working, Marcus enjoys spending time with family, cooking, fixing things around the house, and helping others when he can.
